Cornish, Maine Wedding Photographer // My Favorite Wedding Pictures From 2022 Continued....
I loved going back and looking at all of my galleries from the 2022 season so much that I felt I owed it one more blog. While going through these galleries, I was really looking for more photojournalistic photos. Of course, I absolutely adore and focus a lot of my attention on the wedding day on the formal pictures, but its really the emotional little moments that make the day amazing.
First up is Michelle and Pierre’s wedding. I already knew that this day was going to be epic. We started with a Tea Ceremony to honor Pierre and his heritage and later, a traditional American ceremony as a nod to Michelle’s heritage. When I arrived I was informed that, unfortunately, Pierre’s grandfather had just passed away. His family did such a great job of honoring his grandfather at different moments in the day. The speeches done by Pierre and his family were greatly dedicated to his grandfather. I distinctly remembered Pierre’s father remarking that his father would want them to enjoy their day and wanted everyone to dance and have fun. It was one of the most touching speeches that I had ever heard. There wasn’t a dry eye in the venue.
I love this picture from Paige and TJ’s wedding. It was when I first arrived at Live Well Farm. I typically go around and take venue pictures before I even tell the couple that I’m there. The first person I encountered when pulling up was Paige’s dad. We talked for a bit. He was just hanging out in the barn reading the paper as the girls got their hair and makeup done. I told him that I was just going to take a few pictures of the venue. He asked if he should move and I told him that he was perfect where he was. I stepped back and saw his silhouette. It was the ideal mixture of venue shot with that photojournalism flair. I think that having him there really set the tone for that moment.
Peter and Veronika got married on his grandmother’s land up north. She owns a pretty vast piece of land and for the most part, the family traveled by golf cart to get from point A to point B. These are Peter’s grandmother’s being carted up to the ceremony site via golf cart. These women were pretty amazing ad fun to be around.
Once again, I really had a blast during my 2022 season and may even do another one of these posts. Seriously, I can’t stop now that I have been diving deeper into these galleries. It really takes me back!
