Maine + NH Wedding Photographer | Photographer or Personal Assistant? Hard to Tell Sometimes
You’d think being a wedding photographer means I just show up, snap some pictures, and call it a day, right? Ohhh no, my friend. I wear more hats than a thrift store on half-off day. Sure, I’m there to capture your badass wedding story—but I’m also doing about 42 other things that have nothing to do with my camera.
Like pinning boutonnieres. (Why are those things so tiny and stabby? It’s like trying to wrestle a rose into submission with a thumbtack.)
Or fixing veils—because no matter how well they’re secured, wind, humidity, and hugs are out here plotting against them.
Then there’s me grabbing snacks for the couple who haven’t eaten since breakfast. I will 100% hand-feed you a granola bar if it keeps you from fainting during portraits.
I’ve carried trains, carried bouquets, and occasionally carried bridesmaids’ phones, shoes, or emotional baggage (kidding… kinda).
I’m also the unofficial timekeeper of the day. If we’re running behind, I’m gently herding people like an overly caffeinated sheepdog.
When it rains, I’m drying bouquets with paper towels or on my shirt like a florist in crisis mode. When it’s time to bustle the dress, I turn into a puzzle master trying to decode a system of loops and buttons designed by a mad genius.
Basically, if it helps your day go smoother, I’m on it. Because the best photos happen when you’re relaxed, laughing, and completely in the moment—not stressing about a rogue veil or soggy bouquet.
So yeah, I’m your photographer… but I’m also your honorary bridesmaid, snack dealer, timekeeper, and fixer of all things. It’s all part of the job—and honestly, I wouldn’t have it any other way.
