Maine + NH Wedding Photographer | MacKayla + Dawson | Fall Engagement Session at My Farm in Cornish, Maine
If there’s one thing I love about fall sessions on my farm, it’s how extra the vibes always are. The colors, the crisp air, the smell of leaves and wood smoke—it’s basically nature showing off. And when MacKayla and Dawson showed up ready to lean all the way into that autumn energy, I knew we were in for a good time.
We kicked things off super chill right on my road—just the two of them holding hands, laughing, and soaking up that perfect golden light that filters through the trees like it’s on a mission. It wasn’t too cold, just that perfect “sweater weather but still comfortable” kind of day.
From there, we headed to the barn to take advantage of its rustic charm. Old wood, a little dust, and just the right amount of moodiness—it’s the kind of backdrop that does half the work for you. Then we wandered down the trails, leaves falling all around us like something out of a movie.
And then, they pulled out the Halloween masks. Hell yes. I live for couples who want to throw in a little weird, a little fun, and a little them into their session. We went for something more dramatic—dark ferns, red leaves, and that quickly sinking sun creating a killer atmosphere.
By the time the light faded, we had that perfect mix of cozy romance and spooky fall energy. MacKayla and Dawson absolutely nailed it—proof that the best sessions are the ones where you just embrace the season, have fun, and don’t take yourselves too seriously.
Want a session that feels like you (and maybe includes Halloween masks)? Let’s make it happen.
