Maine & NH Wedding Photographer | Morgan & Chris's Wedding at Outlook Farm in So. Berwick, Maine
Morgan and Chris tied the knot at The Red Barn at Outlook Farm in South Berwick, and let me tell you… it was cold. Like, Maine-in-winter-doesn’t-care-about-your-feelings cold. But honestly? Worth it.
I got to the venue early to do a quick vibe check before heading to see how the couple was doing. The barn was already decked out for Christmas and looking real cute about it. I walked in and was immediately hit with the glow of the Christmas tree, all lit up and covered in handmade ornaments that Morgan and Chris made themselves. Personal touches always win. Always.
One of the tables had board games and card games set out for guests who weren’t feeling the dance floor life. I’ve been seeing this more and more this year and I am fully here for it. Not everyone wants to dance, but everyone wants to talk trash over a game of cards.
I popped into the ceremony/reception space to drop my gear and scope things out. The Outlook Farm staff was already hustling—tables going up, chairs getting placed, everything moving like a well-oiled wedding machine. The fireplace was dressed up with lights and garland, basically begging to be photographed.
Then I hopped back in my car and headed to the Airbnb where Morgan and Chris were getting ready.
Morgan was just finishing up hair and makeup, laughing with her girls and clearly having the best time. Super chill energy. Her mom slid into the chair next to her to get her makeup done too, which was such a sweet, quiet moment in the middle of all the excitement. The rest of the crew was hanging out, playing games, just enjoying the morning like pros.
Then Chris arrived, got dressed, and it was go time. The girls helped Morgan into her gown and damn—she looked incredible. Absolute knockout.
Their first look was a little different in the best way. Chris was hiding downstairs, so Morgan turned her back while he came up behind her. The light on the deck was perfect. The setting, the light, the emotions… it all worked.
After that, I zipped back to the venue to photograph the tables before guests arrived (because untouched tables are a sacred thing). Then we knocked out family formals and couple portraits. It was windy. It was cold. Everyone was freezing. And everyone was an absolute champ about it.
As the sun started to set, it was ceremony time. Short, sweet, and straight to the heart. Not a dry eye anywhere. One of those ceremonies that sneaks up on you emotionally and then suddenly it’s over and you’re like, “Wait… already??”
From there, it was on to the fun stuff. Morgan and Chris skipped some of the traditional formal dances and really made the day their own—which I love. They did their first dance, then it was time to eat, laugh, and celebrate the hell out of the night.
Cold weather, warm people, beautiful details, and a whole lot of love. Morgan and Chris absolutely crushed their winter wedding, and Outlook Farm showed up looking festive and cozy as ever.
10/10 would freeze my fingers off for them again.
