Maine & NH Wedding Photographer | Jessica & Ed's Engagement Session at Lucky Rooster Farm, NH
I met up with Jessica and Ed at Lucky Rooster Farm in New Hampshire, and the place was buzzing. Literally. People cutting down their Christmas trees, hauling them off like champs, and fully committed to the holiday spirit.
Jessica and Ed rolled in so excited for their session, which immediately set the tone. We started out back, away from the crowds, and just let them do their thing — walking, laughing, hanging out like they normally would. No stiff posing, no weird “what do I do with my hands” energy. Just fun.
We chatted about their wedding next year while wandering around the farm, which somehow made everything feel even more relaxed. It honestly felt more like hanging out than “doing photos,” which is always the goal. Festive, laid-back, and exactly the kind of session that gets you in the holiday mood without forcing it.
At one point, they popped open a bottle of champagne, sat down on a blanket, and just soaked it all in — each other, the scenery, the moment. Simple, cozy, and very much their vibe.
We wrapped things up by the barns and grabbed a few lit shots for a more dramatic feel, because why not end strong? The contrast of the warm lights and the winter setting was so good.
All around, such a fun session, such good energy, and I’m already counting down to their wedding next year. If this engagement session is any hint of what’s coming… yeah. It’s gonna be a good one.
