Maine & NH Wedding Photographer | What Actually Defines Success
Everyone loves to define success with numbers. Bookings. Revenue. Growth charts that make accountants feel alive. And listen—this year? Those numbers showed up. This was one of my strongest years yet, and I’m proud of that. This business is doing exactly what it’s supposed to do.
But the reason those numbers matter is how they were earned.
This year, success looked like my clients feeling seen. Not rushed. Not treated like a name on a contract. When you worked with me, I wanted you to feel like my only client—because that level of care changes everything.
From the first email to the final gallery to album delivery day, my focus was giving couples the best possible experience: less stress on the wedding day, more trust in the process, and photos that actually reflect how it felt to be there.
A calm wedding day photographs better. Full stop. When couples feel taken care of, they stay present. They laugh harder, cry freely, and don’t worry about what’s happening behind the scenes. That’s where the real moments live, and that’s where my work shines.
Looking back, I truly feel like this was some of my best work yet. The storytelling was stronger. The lighting felt more intentional. The galleries felt honest and emotionally grounded. And none of that happened by accident. It came from slowing down, being selective, and pouring everything into the people in front of my camera.
This year felt aligned. It felt sustainable. It felt like growth without burnout. And yes, it felt financially successful too.
That combination?
That’s the goal.
And by every measure that actually matters, this was my most successful year yet.
