Maine & NH Wedding Photographer // Amanda + Sam | Foss Mountain Engagement Session
Some evenings just hit different, and Amanda and Sam’s engagement session on Foss Mountain was one of those nights.
We kicked things off in the parking lot where they brought along their sweet pup, Ella (who immediately stole the show, obviously). After a quick hello, we started the short hike up to the top. If you’ve ever been to Foss, you know it’s usually packed with hikers, photographers, and people staking out the sunset. But this time? It was just us. Total unicorn moment.
The sun was just starting to dip low, throwing that golden light across the mountain. We wandered, we laughed, we snapped photos, and Ella made sure she got her own share of the spotlight. I pulled out the lights for a little extra drama, and we kept playing around as the sky started shifting into these insane shades of pink and purple. That view… it’s one of those “put your phone down and just be” kind of moments—except, of course, my job was to keep clicking away.
We stayed up there until the colors faded, then hiked back down under the last bit of twilight, chatting about wedding plans and life the whole way. Honestly, it felt less like a photo session and more like hanging out with friends on a perfect summer night—with the added bonus of jaw-dropping views.
Amanda and Sam’s wedding day can’t come soon enough. If their engagement session is any preview, it’s going to be a damn good time.
