Maine + NH Wedding Photographer | Nick + Emma | Bar Harbor Wedding at Terramor Resort

When I say Nick and Emma’s wedding was one for the books, I mean it. Picture this: a glamping resort tucked right outside Acadia National Park, each guest tucked into their own adorable canvas tent, Maine’s salty air rolling through the trees… and two people who could not be more meant for each other tying the knot. Yeah—dreamy as hell.

But before we dive into their wedding day, let’s rewind a bit, because their love story is just too good not to share.

How They Met

It all started with a band (doesn’t it always?). Back in 2019, Emma went with a friend to a show Nick’s band was opening for. She posted a pic, tagged the bands, and Nick, running their socials at the time, slid into her DMs. Not with a cheesy line, but with a ticket offer for another show in early 2020.

Except… COVID hit. That show date kept getting rescheduled, which meant Nick had to keep reaching out. One “hey, new date” message turned into actual conversations, and before they knew it, lockdown life had them basically inseparable. Grocery runs, staying in, and all the mundane day-to-day stuff suddenly became the fun part of life. Emma said it best: he made the boring stuff feel exciting, and that’s how she knew he was the one.

The Proposal (or, Proposals… plural)

Nick tried to propose in Japan in 2023. Romantic idea, terrible execution, mostly thanks to the fact that it was humid enough to feel like a sauna and neither of them were in “down on one knee” mode.

Fast forward to Leap Day 2024. Emma’s nana tells her the old Irish tale that Leap Day is the one day a woman is “allowed” to propose. Emma thought it’d be funny to text Nick a little “marry me” joke. Problem was… Nick didn’t read the sarcasm. He immediately started telling his friends they were engaged. Oops.

By the time they untangled the wires, they realized—actually, yeah, they were ready for this. They leaned into it, gave each other “real” proposals later (yes, rings and everything), and now they’ve got not one, but two proposal stories. Honestly? Perfect for them.

Wedding Morning at Glamping Terramor

The day started in true glamping fashion—Emma and the girls getting ready in their tent, her mom nearby, hair curling irons running. Emma did her own makeup, and honestly crushed it. Meanwhile, the planner was setting tables and the florist was working overtime on what felt like a million bud vases for the reception setup.

Over in the guys’ tent, Nick was suiting up, cracking jokes with his friends Joe and Joe, and, because it’s only fair, the hairstylist stopped by to give him a little wedding-day polish, too.

Then came the first looks: first with her stepdad, then her dad (both ridiculously sweet), and finally with Nick. That moment on the boardwalk? Pure emotion.

The Ceremony + Acadia Portraits

The ceremony was outside under the sun, the perfect Maine day—not too hot, not too cold. A family friend officiated, which made it personal and heartfelt. Guests laughed, and teared up as Nick and Emma said their vows and sealed it with a kiss.

Afterwards, we snuck away into Acadia for portraits, because when the backdrop is mountains, and golden light? You have to. They soaked it all in, just the two of them (plus me with a camera, obviously).

The Party

Dinner, first dances, and then the kind of dance floor that just doesn’t quit. Everyone was all-in—laughing, dancing until the night wrapped up. The glamping tents made it feel cozy and communal, like the best kind of summer camp but for adults who actually like each other.

Nick and Emma’s wedding wasn’t just beautiful, it was unapologetically them. A little funny, a little unexpected, and completely full of love.
