Maine & NH Wedding Photographer | Morgan + Dan | Wentworth Inn Wedding, Jackson, NH
Some couples just have that vibe. The kind where you know the second you meet them that their wedding is going to be equal parts hilarious, heartfelt, and a little rowdy. That’s Morgan and Dan.
But before we get to the Wentworth Inn dance floor madness, let’s rewind to how these two actually got here.
How They Met
Picture this: Boston, 2017. Morgan is fresh to the city, putting in gym time, and secretly making eyes at this guy week after week. One night, he finally walks her home. They’re vibing hard—chatting about New Hampshire, skiing, all the good stuff. She’s ready for the next step when she drops the “So, I’ll see you around?” line. And Dan? The man says “yep” and walks away without her number. SMH indeed.
Fast forward four years of Morgan surviving the trenches of online dating. She swipes on Hinge one last time—and boom—it’s that guy. Their first date? Best ever. Second date? Feels eerily familiar. By date five, Morgan drops the bomb (with cocktail courage): “Hey, remember walking me home years ago?” Dan’s reaction? Pure gold—“HOLY SHIT, I KNEW THERE WAS SOMETHING FAMILIAR. I’M SUCH AN IDIOT.” Boys, right?
From there, inseparable.
The Proposal
Dan popped the question Jersey Shore style. After a storm, the sun broke through just in time at Island Beach State Park. Perfect moody skies, a little glow, and then he “did the damn thing” as Morgan puts it.
The Wedding Day
By the time their wedding rolled around, I already knew these two were going to throw down in the best way. The Wentworth Inn in Jackson, NH set the scene—classic, charming, and right by the river.
When I arrived, the planner was in go-mode and the band was setting up. The girls’ suite was bustling—hair spray clouds, detail shots, laughter everywhere. This crew was tight. Meanwhile, the guys? Let’s just say… less organized. When I showed up, they went full panic realizing the time. Typical. But they pulled it together.
Gift exchange was peak Morgan and Dan: hilarious and emotional all at once. Dan opened cufflinks with his dad’s picture—cue the tears. Then Morgan’s “other” gift? A hand-painted portrait of her boobs. I mean… iconic. The perfect combo of funny and nostalgic.
Morgan slipped into her dress with her girls helping button every last button. Then came the first look and private vows—intimate, emotional, the kind of stuff that makes you stop and go, “yep, this is why I do this job.”
The ceremony was everything. The sun came out in full force just in time, lighting up the riverside backdrop. The arbor was stunning, and the vows hit everyone right in the feels.
Afterward, we snuck off for portraits by the river and around the inn (I’ll never say no to using a gorgeous inn as a backdrop—total jam of mine). These two killed it in front of the camera, like they’d been prepping for Vogue.
And then…the party. The dance floor went from classy first dances to absolute chaos in the best possible way. Drinks flowing, people losing shoes, the whole deal. They wrapped it up with a sparkler exit—lit up, loud, and the perfect send-off.
Morgan and Dan, you two nailed the perfect mix of romance, laughter, and full-on party energy. From the painted-boob gift to the tears at your vows to the dance floor madness—you gave me all the good stuff.
The Wentworth Inn has officially seen it all now.
