Maine + NH Wedding Photographer | Jayce + Mike | Foss Mountain Engagement Session

Okay, first off — these two are getting MARRIED in a week. One. Week. Away. I’m already buzzing with excitement because after hanging out with them for their engagement session, I just know their wedding day is going to be unreal.

Jayce and Mike made the three-hour drive up from Boston just for their shoot and that’s no small thing. That’s commitment (and maybe a little caffeine-fueled road trip energy). But when they got to Foss Mountain, it was totally worth it. The view, the light, the fall colors — it all just showed off.

A little backstory on these two: they met back in August 2017 through mutual friends in college. Fast forward a few years, and they’ve built a life together in Boston. And then came the proposal — Mike totally nailed it. He told Jayce they were going to meet friends for dinner at The Tall Ship in East Boston, which already sounds like a good night. They took their usual water taxi from the Seaport (because, honestly, who wants to fight Boston traffic?), and once they got to the waterfront — skyline glowing, ships coming in — he dropped to one knee. Oh, and because he’s that guy, he had a photographer waiting, and Jayce’s brother and sister came running out to surprise her. Then they headed to a restaurant where family and friends were waiting to celebrate. 10/10 execution, Mike.

Now fast forward to this perfect fall evening on Foss Mountain. The hike up is short but sweet, and the reward is that killer panoramic view that looks like it was made for engagement sessions. The light was warm, the air had that crisp fall feel, and these two just fell right into it — laughing, talking about their wedding next week, and soaking in the sunset together.

There’s something about Foss in the fall that just hits different — golden light, rolling hills, and that breeze that makes everything feel a little more alive. Jayce and Mike walked hand in hand, totally in their own world, and I got to just hang back and capture it all.

Next stop: wedding day. Let’s do this.
