Maine & NH Wedding Photographer // Yes, I Do Wear Black to Every Wedding. No, I’m Not in a Cult (Probably)

Let’s just get this out of the way: Yes, I show up to every wedding in all black. Head to toe. All. Black. Everything.

No, I’m not in a goth revival band (although I would like to thank my wardrobe for making me look like a background extra in a Tim Burton film). I dress like a very comfortable ninja—and not just for the vibe, but for strategy.

See, black clothing is basically camouflage for wedding photographers. I can creep around the edges of the ceremony like a stealthy little photography goblin without drawing attention. I don’t want to blend in with your guests. I'm ducking between pews, tiptoeing behind the arbor, climbing random things to get the shot and you won't even notice I’m there. That’s the goal. I want to disappear so the real moments can show up.

Also, it’s comfortable as hell. I’m not trying to impress anyone with a blazer and heels. I’m here to crouch, squat, crawl, sprint, and climb—all while hauling two cameras, emergency snacks, and a roll of bobby pins that will 100% come in handy at some point. I need stretchy pants. I need breathable fabric. I need shoes I could survive the apocalypse in. And guess what? That’s what I wear.

So no, I’m not mourning your wedding day. I’m celebrating it… just in a hyper-practical, moisture-wicking, silently sweat-proof way.

If you're looking for a photographer who blends in, shows up fully, and makes sure you’re the center of attention while I lurk like a polite shadow—you’ve found your girl.
